Frederick County is a great place to live.  We’ve seen many changes over the past 20 years and have seen lots of farmland become lovely and diverse Frederick communities for a growing population.  Families choose Frederick for its quality of life, affordability, and friendliness.  It’s location to Baltimore and Washington D.C. make it close enough to big city amenities, yet far enough to avoid the congestion and bustle.

Frederick has a wealth of history, from the Colonial days to the days of the American Revolution and the Civil War.  The Frederick Historic District has been lovingly maintained and showcases some beautiful Federal Architecture.

Frederick has a thriving arts community, from music, drama, dance, and the visual arts.  The downtown attracts many artists and artisans alike, and locals and visitors can take part in the gallery walks, garden tours, and first Saturday events.  There are many yearly festivals like “In the Streets”, “Festival of the Arts”, “Shakespeare Festival,” and “Celtic Festival”, just to name a few.

Frederick is surrounded by some of the most beautiful parks, as well.  National Parks like Monocacy National Battlefield, Appalachian National Scenic Trail, Antietam National Battlefield, and C&O Canal. State parks like Catoctin Mountain & Cunningham Falls State Park, Gathland, Greenbriar, and Gambrill State Park. Frederick County has numerous parks, like Carroll Creek Wildlife park, Fountain Rock Park, Pinecliff, Fountaindale, and Rose Hill Manor. Frederick County is truly a park-lovers paradise!
